The Getaway is probably one of the most impressive and anticipated games for the Sony PlayStation2. The game is currently set for a Christmas release in Europe. Developed by Team Soho, The Getaway tells the story of two characters. The first, Mark Hammond, is a former criminal who yearns to live a normal life, but when his son is kidnapped and his wife is murdered, he blames mob boss Charlie Jolson. On the opposite side of the law is the second character, Frank Carter, a suspended cop who wants to see Jolson in prison as well. The stories of these two characters intertwine as the game progresses. Specific gameplay details are scarce at this time, but it is known that the game will take place in various locations around London.

Depends, if they make a big thing of the game and put adverts on tele then yes. if not then it could be another dark horse.

if we worked as a team on the game we would be un stoppable and what about setting traps? we could use that voice activation thingy and one of us could be at the top of a road and look out for the car we need to blow up then they could say to one of us at the bottom that the car is on the way doen and get ready to blow it up?. i might send some of these of to Team SOHO.
It is like GTA3 but a lot more realistic and it is set for a "spring" release. hopefully july when i break up from school.
It's such a shame that this game has been delayed once more. It was set for release during August 2001, but now it looks as though it's going to be delayed even further.
If this carries on, it really proves that its developers are trying to make the gameplay as perfect as ever.
I just hope it gets a release real soon.
