A couple of sites, including Nintendojo are reporting leaks for European retailers for a March 15th release date.
This does, however, go against Nintendo's own claim that it would be released in the April/ May period.
However, if any of you can think back five years Nintendo hinted at a June release for the N64, then spung a March release. Could they be thinking of the same kind of philosophy this time? (Only with a few more launch games!)
I'd dismiss this in a second if it wasn't for the fact that this date just keeps on cropping up every couple of months. Maybe it's true.
I won't get my hopes up, if I have to wait a little longer, so be it. Still, the sooner a solid date is announced the better!

Despite people's excitement about the GameCube, Microsoft cannot fail with the X Box, and it will have an incredible presence retail wide - rather like the vulgar smell of a Porsche 944's exhaust fumes...

Looking at the URL below it looks like the GC is only going to be £150 maybe up to £160. They got one bit of infor wrong X-Box isnt released 15/03/02 its on the 14/03/02. I wont be able to get a GC on launch as Iam getting a X-Box on launch. I think i'll try to get one in the summer when I can easily afford it in a week of work.
