Bit late creating this, but what do you reckon about what the result will be? Seems most likely a draw, but I still think it's more than possible for England to get a victory and it doesn't look too likely that Pakistan can win.

Really depends if Harmy can dig into the batting straight away I guess. Also I'm thinking Monty will see a lot of action today: the wicket seems to be favouring spinners a bit more now.

Any thoughts then?

121-0 at lunch both Trescothic and Strauss are on 54 and going along nicely.

85-0 at the minute going steady, maybe they'll try and quicken up the run rate and declare tomorrow morning to get out the reach of a Pakistan win and try and bowl them out?

Yeah, it's probably best for England to play conservatively: they won't want to give Pakistan a chance of drawing the series. Would be nice to see both Trescothick and Strauss get a solid score though, just to silence a few critics.

He's not batted at all well recently and is due a good knock although I can't see this match being anything thana draw.

Trescothick's riding his luck this morning, a couple of edges and a dropped catch already.

There just doesn't seem to be a great deal out there for the bowlers so anyone in form with the bat will stick around.

It depends on how badly England want to win the game. A quick fire 300 might be enough to put Pakistan under pressure. Pakistan will have to bowl England out pretty cheaply to win I think.

After today I think a draw is pretty much a certainty.........

Entertaining cricket though I enjoyed watching it today.

Nice batting yesterday from England, getting a nice total, but if they don't get a wicket to break this current partnership Pakistan could easily equal it, if not get a lead in this test.

England are starting in a strong position with both Bell and Pietersen opening today, hopefully they'll easily obtain 400+

Yup and Monty has given Ashley Giles a good reason to be worried about his position on the squad now.

Shame about Jonesy, he performed perfectly behind the stumps, shame he couldn't perform better in front of them. :-(
