Bit late creating this, but what do you reckon about what the result will be? Seems most likely a draw, but I still think it's more than possible for England to get a victory and it doesn't look too likely that Pakistan can win.

Really depends if Harmy can dig into the batting straight away I guess. Also I'm thinking Monty will see a lot of action today: the wicket seems to be favouring spinners a bit more now.

Any thoughts then?

Poor bowling from England at the end gifted the match to Pakistan last night, I thought after we got the 2 wickets in succession we might just be able to restrict them from getting their total or maybe even bowling them all out but it wasn't to be.

Pakistan are looking good for the World Cup and I think they'll put in a good challenge.

As for England, well, we'll have to see how the injuries pan out.

Pakistan deserved that win. Fantastic stuff from Lewis though.

I always thought that after Vaughan, Trescothick was in charge? Maybe at the moment having him as captain would be too much pressure seeing as he needs to get back in rhythm with the bat.

Agreed about Freddie, definitely has too much to do already and if he's made captain as well his current skills could be compromised. Not sure about Collingwood for the same reasons.

Err.... nope?

I really think Strauss is suffering under the mantle of captain and I don't think Vaughn will return. I like Freddie but he already has a lot of pressure on him to perform with the bat and the ball. I would like to see Collingwood as captain.

Yeah, agreed definitely.

Doesn't look there'll be much play today, so probably another no result. I wonder if from the play we do see if England have learned anything from the last ODI.

Not much to write home about in the first one day game. Bell did well but the rest didn't really stick around.

Broad looks like a quality bowler and he's only 20.

I think England were a bit fortunate to get a no result because of rain. They were going to lose in my opinion.

They need to pick up their one day game as the World Cup is fast approaching. March isn't it?

I like the way that they ran out of 'Man of the Match' nominees and stuck Broad on the end with approx. 10 mins left to vote. The only way he would have won was if he took the hattrick. Yardy was my man of the match by miles.

Hope England can improve on what was a woeful display overall later today.

Nice to see Tresco' got a half century, shame about the middle order collapse. Stuart Broad is looking very promising too. Need to slow Pakistan down a bit at the moment though.

Imzamam Ul Haq has been charged with ball tampering and bringing the game into disrepute and will have a hearing on Friday.

It'll be interesting to see if any TV evidence is used as Sky analysed their footage to bits and couldn't find anything.

Well, the game is now finished with England declared the winners. Strange end but there you go.

Oh dear, Pakistan are back on but the umpires aren't coming back on now. I'm guessing they're not happy with their decision being challenged. Fair point I guess, they shouldn't really be challenged. But then again I don't know the full facts and by the sound of it very few do.
