I have both of them, and i have had my PS2 a lot longer than the GC. but i have probably enjoyed the GC just as much, and with lots of new games coming out, i can see it dominating my gaming life, however, as you say the PS2 does offer what most gamers, want, i suppose it's cause i grew up with Nintendo consoles. Animal Crossing arrived today, and i can't get enough of it.
