I'm not sure i would say Animal Crossing, however it's an import game. Super MArio Sunshine is definitely worth a look, so is Eternal Darkness.

I have a mate who owns a GC but I've never given it a try. If you were to recommend a game for me to try J-42, what would it be?

I see. I used to be a PSX fan, more than the N64, but the GC changed that. I'd say that the order of consoles goes:
1. GC
2. PS2
3. Xbox
This is not because i am a fanboy but because xbox has only one game that i really want. PS2 is close behing GC, but the gap will (probably) increase in my opinion. What with Meetriod coming, it seems unstoppable. On the other hand Substance and Angel of Darkness still are essentials.
