and it was allright. Not worth £300 smackers, but quite good. When the price comes to £150, there is a library of games, it has been proven stable and unhackable, and i get an extension on the house, I might consider it.

The Gamecube video looked much better.

Oh yeah... I'm sure its a fine arcade game...

But I was really hoping for more of an 'X-Wing' type title... Admittedly, a style which itself it almost as old as 'Shadows of the Empire', but it just seems to provide a greater degree of freedom in gameplay...

I was also hoping for something a little new in the gameplay stakes... a 'classic' title.

(Also I prefer the control system, I really not used to having aircraft moving left, right, up and down... I always expect to roll left and right, pulling up and pushing down)

In defense of Rogue Squadron 2... it's actually supposed to play as well as it looks. Every review I've read has said that, and so has Pb, too.

This is the thing...

I was really impressed with Rogue Squadron 2 graphics... Then I found out it was just a 'Shadows of the Empire' type game with updated graphics...

I'm still trying to decide wehther I'm after an X-Box or GameCube ...

The attraction to the GameCube to me seems to be the 'new concept' titles being released... Rather than just the latest racer, another beat-em-up, etc... However, with the result of Rogue Squadron, I'm a little worried that they may not be as refreshing as they appear in the piccys?

I was going to get the mag, just to see what the fuss was about. I thought it was £3.50, but then notest it was actualy £5.50 so I put t down. That is way to much for a magazine.

All of the companies are developing new conosles all the time. What you think they do in these gaps between consoles?! I would be too expensive to just sack them alll and hire new staff when you need a console developed. So they just work slowly all the time. PS3, X-box 2 and Gamecube 2 are already in the works.

Who knows, If sega see a way in, they may even give us a new console. After thier announcment to stop making consoles we all realised how much we are gonna miss them. SO a new console would be extra tempting for all of us woudnt it?

Don't you all think that maybe a company is developing a 256-bit console right this very minute? Who knows, it could even be a 512-bit machine instead. Just imagine...Sega are only developing games now, and for different consoles. But do you suppose they are working on something new...something more powerful? I bet you that there is at least one company trying to revolutionise the industry...it will surprise us all!

I'd love an Xbox, I mean the games are very similar to whats on the PS2 and £300 isn't that bad for a launch price since it has a HDD+Modem build in. The PS2 was £300 then they expect you to pay £200+ for both addons, haha no thanks. OK Microsoft aren't the people's favourite or anything but like Sony they just provide the machine and let the third parties do the rest, Can't afford it though :-(
