"Gamecube 56k modem, will i get lag?"

When/if i do eventually hook me little 'cube up to the net, will i get serious lag with a 56k modem? I'm expecting a little bit, but if the lag problem is too big, i think i'll give this whole "internet gaming" thing a miss. Any help would go down well, i may even give you a half eaten bit of chocolate, but don't quote me on that.

Hmm, it depends on how close to the server you are, how close the other people are to the server, how good your phone company is, how well the game is programmed, in game frame rate, how good your ISP is, and how good all of those factors are for the other people in your immediate game.

The short answer is absolutely definately.

I will guantee you that no such device exists to elimate lag, it can only slow all players down so it doesn't jerk.

XBox Live is BB exclusive and that has lag.

Lag is allways present in online games, as for PSO however the GC version probably won't have lag very often and it won't affect play much, and another point worth noting is that it makes no difference in the case of pso GC whether you play with 56k or BB as it will be the same as it has to cater for both.
