Didn't anyone else find DMC rather boring and repititive. I played for a it for a while, about 5 hours in total and then got sick of it. It also happens to be the first of my PS2 games that I have sold on, just a week after buying it.

Same here, I just got SSX Tricky, so it might be a while before I do anything more on Devil May Cry. Keep the topic going though :)
And I have full devil trigger gauges now so all I can really spend my money on are blue orbs.
I think I'm on level 15 or so on hard mode. Only ever had 1 S rank and 1 A rank. Loads of B's and a few C's and D's.
Stormpool, everything in level 3 needs killing! I also don't bother with yellow orbs because you have no chance of a good rank if you use one. What I meant about it getting easier was this: the level itself gets harder, but they lower the grade boundaries to make it easier. Like on mission 6, on hard mode I got an S, but on normal I only got something like C.
