"Copy Protection??"

The PS2 allows you to copy CD's onto minidisc using the digital out, For some reason Audio CD-R's make my minidisc deck flash "CANNOT COPY". The sound is still going into the deck because you can see it on screen and it's coming out the speakers ;-)

It's the same with DVD's but most PS2 games don't allow any of the soundtrack to be copied such as GT3. However SSX Tricky is on the DVD format and if you go into "Jukebox" you can play the entire soundtrack which DOES allow you to copy from the digital out :-D

Is this Copy Protection on the actual disc making the PS2 stop the user from making copies, but then how is the sound still going through (???)

any ideas :-)

What format of games did you copy? and what software did you use?
