I am at the third island, not by cheat or anything, but I can not figure out how to fly the DODO airplane. I have herd it was possible to fly all the way to Portland from the air port, but how? Everytime I take off the plane will go up in the air for maybe 10 seconds and then dive back down. How do you fly far with out the plane crashing?

You have to let it drop until its nearly at the ground, then start it up again, annoying but you can fly my boy!
