"Bungie reveals that the much anticipated sequel to Halo won't make it to stores this year.
Bungie, the developer of Halo for Xbox, has updated its official site with news that Halo 2 will not be released in 2003.
"This game is a vast undertaking, considerably more complex than any of our previous efforts, and there is just no way to squeeze all of the necessary work into this calendar year. We know many of you were hoping to get your hands on Halo 2 during the holiday season, and we're sorry to disappoint you - but making this game as good as we possibly can is our paramount concern," said a Bungie representative. "Microsoft understands and supports our decision, and we hope you will too. Our ultimate goal is to make Halo 2 a great game; when the game comes out next year, we think you'll agree we made the right choice."
The company also stated that it plans to give a brief glimpse of Halo 2 at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo to be held in Los Angeles in mid-May."
Ah well, It'll be worth the wait.
I'm waiting to see Microsoft's hand held being shown at E3.
Come E3 we'll know for sure me thinks.
GameCube Mario Kart not online
There has been widespread speculation on whether the next Mario Kart would be online or not.

Mario Kart
In an interview with Gamespot at the annual DICE Summit in Las Vegas, Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned the upcoming Mario Kart:
- We’ve been conducting online experiments with Mario Kart for quite some time. This time around, we’ve looked at it and I still feel that [the kind of experience Mario Kart delivers] would be very difficult to pull off online.
> That makes no sence. One online game on GC, or over 50+ on Xbox by

I was saying looking at Xbox live at the moment, the Cube adaptor appeals more to me. As in, looking at the software available at present nothing on Xbox live intrests me in the slightest, that's bound to change in the future though.
And since when has online been the 'future' of gaming?
Not saying it isn't, but still.
Mario Kart will NOT be online.
Kind of a kick in the teeth for Game Cube owners.
> From where I'm standing, the CUbe adaptor is a lot more up my street than Xbox live (at the moment). There's no denying that Xbox has the best online setup out of all 3 consoles but I just don't see any software being released for it that intrests me.
That makes no sence. One online game on GC, or over 50+ on Xbox by the end of the year? And that one game on GC is on Xbox too.
Hope the rumours of online mario kart turn out to be true, becuase many nintendo fans don't realise that GC online currentl barely shows up on radar.
> Okay then in my opinion Xbox is having a crap month.
Fair enough, that's your opinion, doesn't make it true. That's the problem here, people say something and it's forgotten it's THEIR opinion.

Well Steel Batallion isn't for everyone, by it's rather hardcore nature, and doesn't figure much in the overall MS strategy, it helps sales in Japan and gives a bit of press, but you don't buy the game and then the controller, it's 120ish for the whole lot. You shouldn't have to be buying an online adaptor, it should have been built into the GC. Plus, you've got to pay monthly to play PSO, and if you're on dialup, pay per minute or face the disconnects that come with unlimited access. And Steel Batallion is no.3 in SR's chart, which for a 120 game not yet out, is pretty good eh ?

Well none of these shops were in Nottingham, and seeing as it rates as one of the larger shopping areas in the country I'd suggest the problem was more under ordering than selling out...
Bummer, was looking forward to that one.
And I personally dont care what titles the Gamecube has, because I dont own one.
