How about, when the there is a notable election people can revote a notable. If a regular wins, they simply become a notable, but if a notable wins they become a "sir notable".
We could also have a "sir notable election" in which an existing notable can be elected into a sir notable, but only by fellow notables. Newbies or Regualars would not be allowed to vote.
I say this, because the notables have put a lot of effort into becoming one. This status should NEVER be taken away, but simply improved if the notable is still contributing to the forum the most.

Well, I had an idea about a notable Un-election because in about 10 years everyone will become notables. Because nobody becomes a regular. So, in the end everyone will become notables.
My idea was simply not put up because all these notables were voted for very good reasons, it would be a shame to see their pride taken away. The notables are all a great bunch. And I think would leave if they got demoted as such.
For example. Sniper. He, well, he never comes on anymore, so maybe he should be unelected. I say no, I think SR should make a new type of… Hmm notable. Like, an “Old Notable” or something like that.
Take, football players. Great players like Pelé didn’t get their medals and pride taken away from them, they just became like “Sirs” and all sorts. Thus leaving a space for another great player to fill.
Taking away someone status as a notable is a but harsh, Unless.
They have done something wrong and they get put up against a jury like. Like a court. SR could choose regulars to be in the jury. Thus picking the best ones. Not biased and old ones.
The staff members agree would also have to vote. And won’t be biased. Some notables have a lot of enemies around here. And would get unvoted If anyone could vote. Newbies and stuff
So, I think a notable only and staff vote and also selected regulars. Maybe. Or whatever. Or as I said make them into something special. Like a “Sir Notable” because they have been, and gone.
But taking away their status is not right, just because they don’t come on here anymore. I say, “Sir notable”
Or something along those lines. And, we could even have a new colour for them :o)
An even better idea.
Notables that have been notable for over 3 months or something could be come a “Sir notable” giving them another colour and supposedly more “Power” This would leave spaces in the “Notable” place.
Thus, making the older notables feel more special and giving us lot another space for election.
But, you could Mm. Maybe, switch a regular with a notable. Like, the “Worst” Notable as such. And put the best “Regular” against each other. Hmm, maybe, but that would end in tears.
