Hi,
please enlighten me if you can,

1. Do any types of AMD Athlons work with SDRAM, if so, which ones.

2. Im getting a Maxtor D740X ATA133, but my mobo only has an ATA100 controller thing (whatever), I presume it will still work, only at a maximum of 100mbs, but will this create a data bottleneck if the transfer rat starts peaking over 100mbs?

3. How much more faster and more powerful is the average
GF3 Ti200 from the GF2 Ti, is it worth the extra money?

Thanks.

Obviously, the larger the buffer the better, but unless you really are caining it, you wont really notice. The only thing that will affect the speed of HDDs noticably really is the RPM, and that isnt an incredibly difference (we're talking something like the speed difference between 950MHz and 1GHz, not 250MHz and 1GHz, noticable when really pushed, but not incredibly). Me being a cheap skate, I just look at price and size when buying HDDs!!

Does the size of the buffer on a Hard Drive affect performance, and if so, by how much?

Yes, basically. Refined manufacturing process, cheaper core.

Probably.

And the Ti 200 costs less because it is cheaper and easier to make because it has different core and memory speeds?

So the Ti200 has superior architecture, I see.

No.

By your reckoning, the GameCube should kick the PS2's butt because of it's ~550mhz CPU against the PS2's ~350. However, we know it doesn't. Also, the Xbox should totally slaughter the others with it's ~750mhz CPU.

However...

It doesn't. It's all down to architecture (and the PS2 having 4 processors, but that's another story). All the GF3s are slightely different, and that's where the performance difference REALLY comes in.
