Yep - it's true. I found out this afternoon and after days of denying it, Steps have finally caved it. Ceefax reports:

The pop group Steps have announced they
have split and are planning to pursue
solo projects.
The five-member group, who have sold
more than twelve million records,
announced the split in a statement.
"After five incredible years, we've
decided it's time to move on to new
challenges," band members Faye, Claire,
Lisa, H and Lee said.
"We are looking forward to making our
next plans," the group said.
Wahoo that Steps have split, but they are still in the music industry and that means 4 more crappy pop albums each year. Let's hope they crash and burn like the Spice Girls!
