But does anyone really understand what we are celebrating? The more and more you think about it the more and more pointless it becomes. To start with, there is the Religious part about it, but many of us know that Jesus was not born on 25th December and nor is Christmas taught in the bible.
Then we give each other gifts. To celebrate what? We're not really celebrating the birth of Christ, the Son of God. But because of ONE person who decided to give a gift to someone, hundreds of years later down the line we have now found ourselves living in a society that doesn't understand something so simple that has turned into a time in which Christmas is just an opportunity to receive gifts.
The amount of posts people must have seen on the forums over the last few weeks asking other people what they want for Christmas is a tremendous amount. All of a sudden the thought of greed takes over and no longer do we think about others, but think about what we can get out of other people to benefit ourselves.
Now maybe I’m being a little harsh here, but it is mainly true. I also want to bring onto the topic of fate now. Can you actually imagine what we would have been doing yesterday if St. Nicholas had not given to one family? If he was never born. If for some reason he just had a change of heart. Then where would we be today? I ask you, as I don’t know the answers.
The same could go for anything. Where might we be today, if * didn’t come along. There are times in our lives that change things and there are times in which it’s for the best and sometimes not. Great people walk forward and venture us into new heights. We might not appreciate these people or even realise what they have done. But they continue to exist.
Nowadays, we treat our celebrities like kings. Status is everything and people are always wanting. Sometimes, all you want is someone to appreciate something you have achieved, but most of the time we are looking to the future to create this perfect world for ourselves.
Many times in our lives we have made the wrong decision. It could have been marrying the wrong person or something as simple as taking the wrong corner. But what is around that corner could determind the rest of your life.
We live in a world in which is seems nothing is decided for us. There are too many 'what ifs' and too little answers. But yet we ignore the things that are most important. Have you ever looked at a 'tramp' lying there on the streets and had a good chuckle? Or are you one of the few who would give him some money, could you give him some money in trust?
Could you give up your personal belongings to take a venture into helping people?
Another thing is why is it that the creators of this world get little credit for achievement? At school, the nerds are the people who get bullied whilst the strong and immature always seem to be the popular. But when you leave school, the nerds are suddenly looked up to because of success. May be it is the immature and inexperienced thoughts of a teenage mind.
The creators of the world, the intelligent people who make a difference seem to get no credit. People like David Backham, whose only talent consists of kicking a ball get more recognition then people like Gandhi and Oskar Schindler, whose talent consists of tremendous determination and perseverance.
I've went on enough now, I'll stop.
"a perfect amount of equilibrium in a world that only fear and hatred is seen"
Sorry, just want to add to that.
The news. What would people find the news today...
Let's see. I expect someone has died.
Some terrorists might have done something.
Christmas lights burn family to death.
This is news, yes... but because of this, we seem to think we live in such a disgusting world... we begin to lose faith in what we believe in, that someone, somewhere, is actually smiling.
And why would that be news? Would a broadcaster turn up, see you smiling, film you, and then interview you?
No! Why? Because a smile is not the news! Someone having fun?
Mr Smith surpised his family today on a special outing to Alton Towers, and treated his son to an ice cream. They had a brilliant day out, and his son, Jeff, thought it was the best day in his life.
Do we hear about this? No!
Because it's not the news. People having fun is not the news. Someone falling in love is not the news. Someone giving birth, getting married, meeting a long lost friend or going for a walk without any shoes on is not the news!
These things happen! People are falling in love with people as we speak, someone just gave birth, right then! There are miracles of happiness happening all over the world, right now!
But we never hear about them! We simply hear about all the crappy stuff that happens in the world, and it drives us down so much it's depressing.
Wouldn't it be so utterly amazing if you turned on the tv, and for that one brief second...
"Today's top story: I've fallen in love."
"The amount of posts people must have seen on the forums over the last few weeks asking other people what they want for Christmas is a tremendous amount. Well said. The amount of utterly spolit gits on here is amazing. One boy complained to me that he wasn't allowed cable internet, after his parents had bought him a £2000 computer for Christmas. Stuff like that really turns me, if I was standing next to him I would have punched him in the face.

The greatest generosity that exists is what no-one ever finds out about. The most selfless thing possible is to help someone and never tell them about it.
I've written before about how I went to the edge of suicide because I went to the point where I not could not tell the difference between today, yesterday and tommorrow, but I also believed that I was dying anyway, which for some reason helped to convince me further.
I laid newspaper down in my toilet, because I didn't want to have to leave my mother clean up all the blood. It's frightening at what my mind was like, to look back on now. I kept coming up with these theories on life, and on how Einstien was wrong about the universe and why gravity didn't exist... I had no real friends I could trust, or talk to.
And as I sat in the bathroom, finally coming to peace with myself, I thought about these forums. I remember laughing with Fantasymeister, Ant, Venombyte, and all my friends on here.
We were writing a story together at the time, the first one we did, the Star Wars one... I find it strange to read it now, but it still makes me smile.
For as I sat there, I suddenly realised what was important about life, and what wasn't. I enjoyed writing in that story, and I enjoyed having a laugh on here. Who cares what happens tommorrow, who cares what happened yesterday?
It didn't really settle my mind immedietely, but one thing is for certain, people like Fantasymeister, Ant, Sniper, Meka... I would be dead, if it was not for them. Simple as that. Really. I would have killed myself, and I am not joking.
Since then, I've tried to concentrate my feelings into stories that I write, and having a creative outlet does wonders for anyone. Something so utterly fuelled by emotion is incredible to do...
And then blah de blah applying for Rareware going into games design through 3D design... but, I know that'll need a portfolio to show what I'm capable of.
In a small tribute to these forums, I'm animating, with my 3D design program, the story that we wrote when this happened, the Star Wars one. I'm going to use that as my passport to get into what I want to do, hopefully. :0)

Success is treated so well because so many people wish they could be bothered to try as hard as they did. If only people pursued their dreams instead of just leaving them as dreams, we would live in a beautiful world.

Fear of losing the only thing you have. You are born and bred with intelligence... it's something even I have trouble coming to terms with, but there does seem a limit to what somebody can learn, determined by their genes. If you're dull, what else do you have left?
Nothing. Simple excuses for lives, I'm sorry, but bullies are nobody. They'll end up dead, just like the rest of us, but they will not be happy. They will never be happy because of the way their minds have been moulded by their selves and surroundings. Wife beaters, rapists, murderers.
However, where would we be without them? What if you weren't pushed around as a kid, and never had the confidence to strike harder and faster at your life to reach the top?
Goes back to what you said, in the end. There's a strange and curious amount of balance in this world that goes beyond any religion or belief... a perfect amount of equilibrium in a world that only fear and hatred is seen. I blame television, personally.
Society / life owes you nothing, you must earn what you have.
I have never chuckled at a tramp. I'm alweays scared that one day, despite myself, I may end up there, it worries me sometimes. But I work hard to avoid that fate.
I trust Big Issue sellers, but rarely give to people who just walk around begging "I've no money for x reason (lost wallet / seperated from friends etc) and need x amount of punds to get the bus / train home". I have given to those people in the past, but see them in the same place next week doing the same thing.
The topics are strong with this one... but he is not a Notable yet!
;-)
1) Gwyneth Paltrow (or however u spell it!) and the bloke she lives with give the worst acting performance I have ever had the mispleasure of seeing!
2) The storyline IS NOT original, like people see... the duality path has not only been seen many times before, but has often been better done than this.
Sonic
interesting thoughts there... I think you're mind is a powerful one indeed. You must use it for good and not evil... do not turn to the dark side.
Ummm thanks for that ;-) I'll try.......and..resist...urge......to.....turn....evil.....rising
