um, no.

Sony make the PS2, which may not have been as radical a console as the PSX but it sure has taken off since and proved itself in the top quality games that have appeared so far.

Mind you, Gamecube has Super Monkey Ball and Rogue Leader, all you need for hours of good quality gaming, so either choice of console will reward the owner.
