These imbeciles say "saddam must be removed but violence is not the way to do it", They moan incessantly when war is suggested. Yet when the question of how to over turn his regime is asked of them, they haven't got an answer.
The argument war will cause thousands of deaths is pretty crap. The regime staying in power will cause as many if not more deaths in the long run, and effect all the peoples standard of living. War is clearly the lesser of two evils.
Economic sanctions haven't worked and have been tried already.
(the invasion of France, although amusing is not really viable)
(Anyone who says it should be resolved democratically by another party in iraq, may be laughed at!)
A Prize for the person who actually can suggest a reasonable alternative.
And i may rant profusely at anyone who deflects the subject, with an anti war speech, or war is wrong speech; instead of actually providing a proper alternative solution.

Maybe Bush, Blair and Saddam could get themselves around a table and play Buckaroo.
But anyway, Saddam is reputed to have a number of look-alikes as precautions against just such action.
Reason why the SAS cannot take him out ? The SAS trained his bodygaurd unit in the 1980s. oops.
:D
Job Done. No leader, no real powerful figurehead and, hopefully, the threat of force will be enough to persuade the rest of the country's army (including Saddam's military force) to step down and accept the regim change. But I have a feeling they'll end up dying on their homeland.

Oi! Who posted this in chat?

It's quite right that many oppose war, but when it comes to viable alternatives they're mostly in cloud cuckoo land in terms of them ever actually working. Saddam did indeed get 100% of the votes, however only a portion of the the Iraqi people were even allowed to vote anyway, hence it was about as fair as Zimbabwe's elections.

> If they rush in all guns blazing they are just as bad as Saddam.
Utter Rubbish!
Saddam has proved that after 12 years of being told to disarm in a peaceful manner that he doesn't understand peaceful means of disarmourment. If it took a country as powerful and as big as Russia 6 years to disarm, why has it taken Iraq 12 so far?
If Saddam wanted to solve this problem peacefully he would have by now. If you're anti-war then I presume you have no idea what your talking about. But if you're pro-war, then you'll have to agree that it can't end with just sorting out Iraq.
Anyway noone should care what france thinks.
And germany and russia do not have very good histories involving war...
Saddam has kiled over 1 million of his own people since he came to power. When he was re elected he had 100% of the votes. Well sorry but i will never believe that was a fair election. Anti war protestors really need to see the light and realise they are wrong. But then whatever you do people protest.
