Anyway, who is getting an xbox?
I hope many of you are, because in my view it looks like it will be the greatest of all the next gen machines.
I've started saving already, and got over £200 so far. Not bad seeing as i've got another 3 months to get the rest. I can't wait to play Halo and Project Gotham racing. If I've got the cash I might also get either Munch, DOA3 or Amped, I havn't made my mind up.
Tell me what you are getting please, and if you have already pre-ordered.
Well, he'll be missing out on Halo, Unreal Championship, Championship Manager, Dead or Alive 3, Medal of Honour: Allied Assault etc. Well it's his call.

Much to the bitterness of the retards who only wish they could be doing the same, but instead have to defend what they've got so they don't feel "behind".

Imagine how good this option can be for things like wrestling games though. When doing a created characters entrance, rather than have a crap choice of original music or stealing an existing wrestlers music, you can simply use a CD track. :-)
Plus in beat em ups. If you could create a character and choose a background, it'd be nice to also choose a music track to play when you fight on your homeground. be nice if you could play online and the info, including your music track could be sent to the player your against so they get the full atmosphere of fighting you.
Some games such as Serious Sam use the music to give warnings of when enemies are approaching but who needs that when you are a "seasoned hardcore gaming pro" like me - and I'm sure you are too!! I probably won't listen to other music with Halo as it may ruin the experience, but PGR and Amped - definately.

No doubt Project Gothem and Amped will have excellents music, but it'll be nice to put in other music. :-)
I don't know if anyone will back me up on this, but has anyone else found that they perform better on games when an excellent soundtrack is pumping out ?
Like say you do a race or something with a crappy soundtrack playing, you just play through as usual. But if you love the music playing, I've found that I get this extra rush that really improves my performance on a level, FPS kill spree, etc.
If you want you can read my review on project gotham, just to get an idea of what exactly you are going to experience.
