My second's in awesome but not in great
My third is in mother but not seen in dad
My fourth is in sunny but never in sad
My fifth is a vowel found in water not creek
My sixth is found only in one day of the week
My seventh's two of three that you learn when you're young
My eighth's not in song but it's there when it's sung
My ninth's in eleven and twelve, not thirteen
My tenth is in island and river, not stream
My eleventh's in precious and secret and paste
My twelfth is in phantom and spectre and haste
My whole stalks the night in a quiet dreamlike state
With no memories the next day of being out late
In other words, I don't know how he got the answer*, or how to prove it's the only correct solution.
(* I suspect either guesswork or use of a search engine)

Heh, this is true. Nice one!
Try and disprove Flander's one then.
Thats the answer I had ie 49 pieces of land.

Prove it, don't just hash the problem into a search engine.

I can. The land has to be split in accordane with their work rates.
Take a constant k to link productivity with field allocation
Thus
9k + 5k + 5k +5k = 1/5
If follows that k = 1/120
The other equation gives
5k + 5k + 5k + 1k = 1/6
Which gives the result that k = 1/96
Therefore that solution is incorrect.
Dah dah....
