Because he masqueraded as a person who can type properly.
Sniper's not like he used to be.
The thing is, he can actually type perfectly well and make (relatively) intelligent and well written topics, he just doesn't any more. He's using more and more text talk as he gets older, and sounding increasingly like a complete idiot.
Admittedly he was quite like this back when he was voted in as a notable, too. He was voted in because he was one of the most frequent and well known posters out of the dozen or so of us around back then, and because there were no newbies - there was nobody else who posted like this. We all found it faintly amusing. A bit like when you see a puppy chase it's tail :)

And I'd rather have Sniper be a notable than someone such as Kyz22, see, Sniper has been here a long while and hasn't just turned up and got voted because of their MSN lists...
