Thre not connecting first time is what I get with BT, and it slowly gets more and more annoying...

It's a little tricky connecting in the Evenign though, took me 3 attempts yesterdat at 7ish, which I'm not really bothered about yet. It's just when I can't connect at all that I'll get angry ... ggrrr.

Overall still: pretty good service.

so far so good

oh and sorry didn't know you were stupid and how long a defrag takes depends on disk size and when it was last done

Well I should point out that when I said it cut off after 30 seconds, I just saw that it was because my Outlook was set up to look for E-mail on my Old Freeserve Account so that cut it out, not Freeserve.

I think it's a pretty good service so far :o).

Well I'm stupid ... so there
*Take that smart ass* :o) hehe

Well I was defraging but then signed up later that night (I even used the pause button on the defrag thing). But were moving of subject here but how long does a defag usually take??

Back to Freeserve Anytime. I havn't even been a member for 12 hours yet, so can't comment on it greatly, but trying it now, I connected no problem, cut me of after 30 seconds?!?!?! Reconected ok and I'm stil on now :o) The spedd is pretty good, what I was expecting and is similer to the old Off-Peak package I was using before.

Overall, for £6.49 a month (for six months) it's very good. But I'll keep you updated withing this week, to see if it gets better/worse/stays the same.

heh, defragging and using the PC at the same time is pretty pointless as whatever your doing will keep altering whats on the hard drive and will just force the defrag to restart, which isnt helpful at all.

i take it your talking about free serve i'd be very interested to see how well it does on connection speed and dial up (as bt is sometimes hard to connect first, second and third time)

keep us posted

also don't defrag and surf it doesn't do it any good

Well signed up and am connected through it already, :o). The sign-up process was pretty easy.

As for the service, it's not bad, little bit slower than my old Off-peak Surftime/Freeserve Package, but I've got that defrag thing running so might cause it to be slow.

I'll have a go tomorrow though and let you know ... but the sign up was easy and works straight away :o).

Night people.
