Why was it that you went for a PS2 instead of another console.

Were you a previous PSone owner?
Did the games intrest you?

Because of the ammount of quality games!!

It interested me since it was announced.

I got my PS2 because of the great games that were coming out on it. The main ones were MGS2 and GTA 3 and I'm glad that I did.

i suppose you're going to sell this too when the time comes...

when you can pick up an xbox or gamecube for £20-£50 second hand, like you can with consoles like PSone, N64, dreamcast etc, I will get one.

But probably not until then.

oh yeah i want an x box too...but i didn't want to wait fo long so i got the ps2...

I got my PS2 only for Final Fantasy X. It was a birthday present, and i'm likely to get a GameCube because I support Nintendo. But a lot of PS2 games are great, I realised after getting my PS2. XBox is too expensive, but I may get one at the price of £200 when it becomes that much.

I chose the PS2 because I knew that Sony was a company I could trust. The Gamecube I knew I was never gonna buy because of the N64. And I knew XBox would have slightly better graphics, but I didn't want to wait for over a year.

It's best to go with what you know - I wasn't going to risk £300 on a console that could have (and still might) flop - XBox.

PS2 is already established, and I think Nintendo and Microsoft will find it very difficult to compete.
