Why was it that you went for a PS2 instead of another console.

Were you a previous PSone owner?
Did the games intrest you?

Dont forget that X-Box and GC are 128-bit aswell. I know there not out over here yet. So you would be right in that statement if your talking about the UK.

Well, mainly because I had a ton of PS1 games and accessories that I thought it'd be a shame to waste. There really was nothing in the decision for me other than the fact that it was available immedaitely and I had loads of games I didn't never want to play again.

Plus I think it looks very sleak.

Mainly for Star Wars: Starfighter. Plus I didn't own a single console 'til Xmas last year - with a hop, skip and a jump, (missing the Dreamcast and skidding away from the X-Box), I landed on the PS2.

I make it my resolution each year to try and get all the new consoles when I can. It may prove more difficult this year, but as the PS2 came down to £199 while I was in Spain, I took the opportunity of grabbing one while I still had some holiday money.

Technically, I would have eventually got one anyway, so it's just a matter of time. It will be the same with the Gamecube and Xbox. That way I can have the best of everything and still remain unbiased.

I chose a PS2 last year because i wanted a new console and this was the best on the market. Okay the lauch titles were not up to muc with the exception of SSx and Timespliters but now the choice is fantastic and proved me right to buy at the time rather than wait for other consoles that are not out for another 3 months yet.
