"Download of the Day"

It's back! :)
There are some differences this time around though. The last one had to end as we were linking to illegal files on this site so the download element is gone (new title anyone?) but there are now so many music hosting sites that it should be reasonably easy to run this, youtube etc.
So, to re-establish the rules and some new things, cause it's been a while.

1 song a day
5 songs a week
You pick a day you want
You then pick a song for that day
Everyone reviews said song on that day
And so on

A new rule i'm bringing in this time is that the songs should be kept private until the day, otherwise people end up skipping ahead.
If anyone wants to email me their song beforehand, incase theyre not around on the day or they want me to find it, send to [email protected]. This is my old address. In the unlikely event you cant find the song you're after online, i suggest windows movie maker and youtube.
I'm starting on Monday and i'll see how it goes. Further dates are available.

I liked that but argh I hate the way some thrash bands go with that lame drop-the-mids-and-up-the-bass tone live and end up with kind of smooth bouncy guitars. They lose a lot of their attack that way.

Well, it's July 11th, so here's my download of the day for you: Killing Peace by Onslaught.

I was considering Exodus, but thought that this is (At least partly) to get people into bands that they may welll not know, and Onslaught are a damn good cult band! :)

At some point i'm going to catch up on those i've missed.

Better to express dislike for recommendations than leave the topic to simply become a list of songs I say. Wasn't aimed at you in particular, just think that we need some more comments on the actual songs, last time this was run it was pretty much essential to comment to be allowed to recommend. Obviously as there is so few people participating thats not exactly possible but it would be nice.

I was subscribing to the if you haven't got anything good to say... philosophy. The Muse one might have been okay if it had been higher quality though. Not really a Muse fan but I do like that piece of classical music. Does anyone know what it's called?

I'd like a day for this week too considering I'm the only person actually commenting on all the songs...
