Rehearsed tonight and managed to knock myself out by smashing myself in the face with a drumstick whilst playing.

Mid-song, head down and hi-hat being pounded and then....BAM!!....on my back with the other 3 standing over me laughing and dripping tea on my face when I came to.
Excellent.

And then I did it again on the car boot loading up at the end of the evening, didn't knock myself out this time, just threw up lavishly on the ground outside and stumbled around like an Astronaut on the moon.
Some would call me stupid.
Others would admire me for my willingness to test the limits of the human face.
Most would shrug and say "Bloody drummers"

But I don't care.

And it really, really hurt.

It doesn't hurt now.

But it did when it happened.
Was funny though after my eyes stopped watering and I could see again.

Worst part? My caring co-players, the "Band of Brothers" ethos we play with, were they concerned?
Did they turn me to the recovery position?
No, the stood over me and dripped tea from polystyrene cups onto my face.

And the 1st thing Scott (guitar/vocals) said?
"Rock! Do it again dude!"

I stood outside smoking and rubbing my big red face for 20 mins.
Stupid thing to do, but if you face the rock you must be willing to pay the price.

Today it was icy and I decided to do some slides, although on the first skid I was going along nicely, hit a dry spot fell over, grazed my hands and got a few points and laughs from friends.

That didn't stop me though. A big kid, that's me.
