I decided to buy myself an Epson printer for christmas, when it arrived i plugged it in and when i went to print something it didnt work, and then it all started to mess up...
SO i sent that back, 2 months later, today, i got it back, i opened it all up to print off some homework and the drivers are missing, and the powere cable is missing...
The are bloody useless, i want to send them some hate mail, but ill just send it back again...
Even the box came back in a bad state, it was all ripped and torn, as if they had used an old box...
The better give me some kind of compensation...

Epson's are good, they do the job.

I have a pretty recent one and it's pretty slow to some Printers I've seen and VERY noisy. Takes a while starting up too.

I actually think I know the song (sounds) it makes when it starts up, from start to finish. My whole family does.

Dont get me wrong, Epson are good, very good, it is just that they have not been up to there usual standard for a while...
But my future printers will all be Epson most probably..

I found Epson printers and scanners to be very good.

BTW, when you compare one printer to another - be sure they are of a similar age and spec. Older and more basic printers will be slower & produce lower quality, etc.

One of the main reasons why I prefer HP over Epson is the fact you get a nice new printhead with every HP Cartridge.

Although they probably cost more...

Mine's black, and therefore blatently really cool and evil, so hah =P

Hum, don't think the differences could depend on what models of printer you're comparing and what you're using them for, by any chance?

My Epson printer was crap and slow.

My Hewlett Packard printers have always been superb.

I had an Epson for five years, a high quality printer, although it was a bit loud when printing compared to other inkjets. Recently bought a Canon S750, and it's much quieter and faster, but the ink takes longer to dry. Still, both brands are excellent.
