Okay, it's my first ever story on SR, and i just wrote the whole thing since my last post tonight.

I'll be posting it a bit at a time. Hopefully, you'll be able to keep track of what's happening from one chapter to the next. I wouldn't recommend missing bits out really.

I'll try to put up one of the 5 chapters every evening until the end, starting now, and continuing tomorrow (friday). Let me know what you think. (Maybe wait until the end to judge it - it kind of spans a few styles of writing).

***Chapter 1***

“It’s happened again”
Cooky’s message was brief, but everyone knew what it meant.
The next post followed minutes later.
“Who this time? What happened?” Asked Sibs.

As the posts continued, the exact situation became apparent. Another ‘disappearance’, this time it was Solskjaer_24. Another user ‘grayed out’, as it had become known. Banned from the server, and stripped of the colour of their name – the ultimate dishonour.
It didn’t always happen this way though. It had been a month since anyone had heard anything from stephen18, now assumed missing, and three months since kingklik had announced his departure.

“It could be any one of us next.” Tiltawhirl struggled to meet the keys with his shaking fingers, but managed to post his tense message. All the forum members reading it were thinking the same thing.
Despite furious refreshing of pages, nobody said anything for a clear ten minutes. Then Ev][L~Dark broke the silence.

***Chapter 2***

So it was that on a rainy march morning, 3 minutes from junction 13 of the M25, the forum members met in the car park of the Egham & Staines Special Reserve store.
“Gentlemen,” announced Strafex, “it’s happened again.”
Strafex led Cooky and Sibs to the laptop just inside open door of his limousine. Moments later, Cooky turned to the rest of the nintys that had showed up.
“Another one grayed out. Ace_greg… won’t be joining us.”

The uneasy silence was broken only by Ev][L~Dark’s biro scratching a name from his list.

Uksgamer2002 cleared his throat.
“For Greg.” He said softly.
The members went to their cars, MJSwerve to the saddlebag of his unisex sky blue raleigh pushbike. Collecting baseball bats, lengths of lead piping, knives, even a couple of pistols, the group stormed the store.
After the sound of breaking glass died down, the group fell quiet.
Confused, Tiltawhirl murmered “What’s going on – there’s nobody here”
Three shots rang out of the darkness. Running on pure adrenaline, Cooky and Sibs both tore their guns into position, unloading shot after shot into the darkness, as they, and the rest of the group scrambled behind the store’s service counter. As the group peered past the tills and counter-top promotional displays, Bob, staff forum member, staggered into a pool of light, clutching his bloody stomach, and fell to the floor. As the puddle of blood spread around him, everyone’s eyes fell on the body of Indian-DudeY2K. Shot in the head and leg, his still body was a mess.

Starlight staggered to the shelf of second hand N64 games. Falling to his knees, as he held his chest, his spat the blood from his throat, screaming into the sky,
“Why, Shigsy? Why have you forsaken me?”
He too fell lifeless to the floor.

But any mourning was quickly interrupted, more shots ripped through the darkness, and into the wall behind the counter. As they dropped back behind the cover of the desk, Sibs saw a control panel. After scanning across it for a couple of seconds, he flicked a switch, and light flooded the store. Squinting, he stepped into the open, and saw another staff forum member, Joe King, staggering and rubbing his dark-accustomed eyes. With no hesitation, Sibs’ finger was again pulsing the trigger of his dostavel. As the magazine emptied into King, the rest of the group moved to search the rest of the store.

Outside, after finding nothing more in-store, the forum members re-grouped. Ev][L~Dark took out his list,
“Lets see who’s left… Cooky?’
“Here”
“Titlawhirl?”
“Yes”
“Strafex?”
“Uh-hu, yeah.”
“Sibs?”
“Here”
“Twain?”
“Twain? Where is he?”
A door opened from one of the vehilces in the car park, Twain sheepishly stepped out.
“Sorry… I.. um… I fell asleep.”
“Okay, let’s just get out of here.” Snapped Ev][L~Dark. “Uksgamer2002, MJSwerve… That’s it, just eight of us left. Okay, it’s not how we planned it, but lets get back on the M25, the sooner we get to the Upminster & Hornchurch store, the better.”

“Not so fast.” Interrupted Strafex,
“They knew we were coming. They must have done. And they’ll be waiting in Upminster at SR Towers too, and we’ll need more weapons to take them on now. Anyway, I think I know who’s to blame here. Follow my car.”
As they turned to their cars, and MJSwerve lifted his bike into the back of Ev][L~Dark’s truck, moving to the passenger door, Cooky turned to uksgamer2002.
“HEY. You can’t take that from the store” he called.
“They won’t miss it. Not now.” Uksgamer2002 replied, leaning to put a box into his Fiat Panda.
“No. Last chance. Throw it to the side.”
Uksgamer2002 froze. The forum members tried to see what he was holding.
“You won’t do it” He responded, moving the box closer to his car door.
Cooky fired.
Uksgamer2002 slumped to the ground, the box fell to the floor in front of him.
“PS2” murmured Ev][L~Dark, scratching through another name. “Seven.”

The cars followed Strafex’s limo from the car park.

There work out to be quite a few people in it, mostly taken from the list of elites and people who asked to be from the 'become a ninty elite'topic.

he he...

Dr. Duck are you using my list of Ninty elites for this story?

Or am I just in it to keep me sweet? I told you the only thing I understand is money or free games...

oh, and the story sounds promising.
