Hi,

I don't seem to have had any emails (form mail) since Wednesday 12th at 11:00. I can see by my logs that customers have submitted forms.

I've sent a couple of testers from the site this morning but they haven't arrived either.

Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

thanks

Hi JTD,
*panic*
I've just tested both a Freeola form_mail script and 3rd party one - my messages arrived immediately :¬)
*relax*

Have you changed anything?
If you are using forwarding is it still in place?
Check Junk mail?

Hi Hmmm...

Sorry to have induced a fleeting panic - pleased to see you recovered well.

>Have you changed anything?
I've been too busy lately to touch the site - hence only discovering today that i haven't had mails since Wednesday.

>If you are using forwarding is it still in place?
No forwarding in place - I collect direct from pop account.

>Check Junk mail?
Yes checked - nothing there. I can see from webmail that it's not even hitting my account.

My own site logs show that I received a form submission on the 12th at 11:00:54 but another on the same day at 19:54 still hasn't arrived.

If it's just me than I'll have to do a bit more thinkning about if I've done anything or perhaps a staffie could confirm whether they're even receiving any submissions to handle.

JTD

EDIT:
Just checked internal and external emails all sent and received ok - so just form mail not working.

Last ftp access was 11/11/11 - so fairly sure no script changes causing problem.

Strange.

This should be the same for everyone if you are using: "cgi-bin/form_to_mail.php" ?

I'll create a test form on server8 if Freeola (or anyone else) doesn't update you.

Remember you might need to raise a Ticket to catch their attention.

We have tested web8 earlier today in regards to formmail sending and did not receive any errors when doing so.

This being the case, we will need further information (i.e. the URL of the script as a minimum) via a Support Ticket before we can look into this further for you.

Update: After further testing we are now looking into a potential issue on that server in regards to formmail not being sent correctly.

This is currently under investigation and we hope to resolve this shortly.

A bit worrying though!
(by now you would have noticed I'm a bit of a worrier!)

Depending what the problem is does this mean that the other servers could have issues?

Is there anyway to check this service automatically as finding out 'the hard way' isn't great?

I could setup a test form on all servers but it seems a bit extreme...

Thanks,

I see this issue is now closed on the Status page.

JTD is everything working for you now?

Freeola - any further details?

Do I need to create 'formmail' tests for each server or are you able to monitor/test this, as I have clients spread across all the servers?

Thanks,
