Can someone convince me one way or the other if to buy "Skies Of Arcadia"? I've read the reviews on SR, and I know it's a beautiful storybook epic of a game - but I'm still unsure whether the glassy-eyed characters and the relentless random battles will just get on my nerves.

Buy it. Definitely. Buy it. You WILL NOT be disappointed. I'm a great RPG fan, I've played Final Fantasies, Grandias, Vandal Hearts, Suikodens, Diablos, Planescape Torment, it doesn't matter.
Skies of Arcadia is the most refreshingly original RPG ever to hit any console. It's a must. I love it. I convinced Grix to get it and he loves it.
So that's a big Sega and Sony fan, and a big Nintendo fan, who both agree on it.
