With the recent price drops and sales figures, I am sure many of you will be a little astonished at that statement. But it could be that this price drop is the last gasp of life from the GameCube. More people may indeed buy it for a few weeks, but after, sales could return to their previous levels (or worse). There is also the possibility that the price drops themselves could finish the GameCube. Nintendo must be losing a lot of money on each unit sold now. So how long can they afford to keep selling them at this price?

Well, seeing as Nintendo had huge profits from last year's GameCube and Game Boy Advance sales (surpassing those of Sony's PlayStation 2), then I'd say yes, they can.

Outselling Xbox in Japan every week except one since its release there and occassionally switching places with Xbox in the US not good enough for you?

Ok then. Another piece of correct information (unlike yours) is that the GameCube is currently outselling PS2 in weekly sales in Europe.
