The Missile Gauge is at it's highest, plus 200 seems like the right amount.

I've got 7 powerbombs all together, but hardly any Energy Tanks.

Personally, I really don't want to waste 5 minutes of my life running around on a video game, every time I have to go somewhere else. About a minute onwards of doing absolutely nothing to add to the game counts as frickin' miles to me.
Maybe if I particularly enjoyed the game generally then the running around needlessly would be fun. But I don't, so it isn't.

And yes, I do suck at metroid.

No offence, but you really must suck at Metroid of you think the back tracking is 'friggin' miles'. Rarely does it take more than 5 minutes to get from where I am to where I need to go (when back tracking), and I can get from one side of the world to the other in less than 10 minutes.

Oh and you don't really have to back track for miles, it depends how good you are at the game.

If you actually know where you're going then the backtracking really isn't a problem, also the enemies change in the areas the more you progress so it never really gets that repetetive.

I thought you meant the thermal visors and x-ray visors where gimmicky.

You think the spatters of slime on the visor are gimmicky?

If you say so....

i had to try like 4 times to get the thermal visor. There are like 40 fricking space pirates and metroids surrounding you and you gotta kill them all.

Im not saying that the game is bad in fact it's awesom. The graphics, the game play EVERYTHING.

Ive got 65 missles and just done the space pirate research centre, this game blows my mind, the bit just after you get the thermal visor is tense, real tense.

I got 145 missiles now.

And it just is fantastic.

Backtracking doesn't feel like backtracking, as their is no forwards, if you see what I mean. Sort of.

Its huge, lovely to look at, full of fantastic throw away detail, and it just rules.

Yup.
