Because it can only send out signals and not recieve them, meaning it doesn't know when to rumble as it doesn't recieve the signals that let it know! ;)

I've not strong views either way. I'm very happy with the wired Nintendo controller.

I also like to sit quite close to the TV.

I don't see why they didn't include a rumble though.

Can see how they would be useful for multi player games.
