i scroll down the list of graphics cards, new and old - i wipe the saliva from the bottom of my lip as i read, super-extreme-megafast-spankin graphics card, or maybe a 3.1 mega giga super-duper hurtz Pentium 4, and then it goes to blasting-shakin n rumblin mega sound cards. my lip instantly dries up as i look slightly to the right. mega-super-duper-whoppin-massive price.

it's a hard decision, i see something that would enhance my gaming experience by a huge margin, and i have the money - but i dont want to waste it on the item, because i care too much about my parents. i only recently shelled out 200 quid-odd for a mobo and processor, so i dont want to be too quick on the mark to get something else.

though the material used and the cost it would take to make these hardware, but they should be much cheaper than that if they are mass-produced. i'd say if it werent for the profit-grabbing property of nearly all companies, there would be an easier life for all of us.

it's useful if you have a DVD player and can't be bothered to folk out £20 for a DVD.

if you're like me, the only way you might even patronise buying powerful stuff is if they are pushed down in value by the newer chips, like the geforce ti4600 is only around 130 quid - a few months ago it might have been 200+ pounds.

The graphics card should put you off too, take £40 off the price of that machine and get a decent up-to-date card, like a Radeon 9500 (at least).

You'd have to be absolutely mental to pay more than £100-odd for a processor. I only paid £70 for mine, and I can actually *see* it depreciating.

Athlon XP's are meant to operate faster than the readings say, like, my XP 2100+ operates at 1733mhz, but is meant to match any other 2.1ghz, so ahm happy
