i scroll down the list of graphics cards, new and old - i wipe the saliva from the bottom of my lip as i read, super-extreme-megafast-spankin graphics card, or maybe a 3.1 mega giga super-duper hurtz Pentium 4, and then it goes to blasting-shakin n rumblin mega sound cards. my lip instantly dries up as i look slightly to the right. mega-super-duper-whoppin-massive price.

it's a hard decision, i see something that would enhance my gaming experience by a huge margin, and i have the money - but i dont want to waste it on the item, because i care too much about my parents. i only recently shelled out 200 quid-odd for a mobo and processor, so i dont want to be too quick on the mark to get something else.

though the material used and the cost it would take to make these hardware, but they should be much cheaper than that if they are mass-produced. i'd say if it werent for the profit-grabbing property of nearly all companies, there would be an easier life for all of us.

I always find such statements amusing. How is a copy of a movie more illegal than a copy of a song? Somebody puts time and effort into making something, they own it and are entitled to restrict access to it or demand money for its reproduction. Theres no basis to say music should be somehow immune from the concept of ownership.

I'm not going to attempt to guess your motives and/or beliefs. But the average person behaves like this because its easy, they can get away with it and its perceived as a victimless crime. Of course people still have a sense of right and wrong, so they develop this idea that really music should be freely available and its actually the law thats wrong because its gives them a moral basis to continue to do something they really know they shouldn't. The same is true of movies and games, go find some sites where you can download them and read the forums there. The exact same attitudes exist, they all somehow believe that really movies etc. should be freely available. :) They aren't bad people, or criminals, just the general attitude that people adopt when it comes to this type of thing.

If you wanna download music, games or anything else then fine. But at least live with the reality of your actions and not pretend that its somehow ok. ;)

Downloading music is also illegal.... No matter what anyone says there will always be something illegal about downloading music and stuff from the net.

The thing that really makes me laugh is all the time you hear things about people copying games, movies etc... Well then, why create CD-Writers and DVD Writers in the first place? Whoever thought of them knew exactly what they would be used for. Do you get my point?

At the end of the day though i do agree with you and think that music should be accessable to everyone but until that law is passed, you and i are still criminals in the laws eyes and also drug dealers because thats what the cops say lol.

If you bother downloading them... I do download music but movies and games are more of an illegal thing since download music should be accessible to everyone but isn't yet.

So am i the only guy whose gone and bought a copied game or a film and even downloaded music of the net? I don't think so and i was making a comment about why a DVD Writer might be useful.

that IS actually pirating, and by bringing that up, you'll be placed under suspicion of pirating, and the police will get your details from the SR database, and you'll be nicked. nice knowin ya.
