And that at the moment is me. Over the past week, when loading a game on my PS2 it has been making a rather unusual ticking noise, its not the laser moving, its another strange noise, and it started to worry me. Then, 3 times during the last 3 days, when turning my PS 2 on, waiting for it to load the game up it had said " Disc Error" or something to that effect.
This has happened on 3 games, GTA 3, Pro Evo and Smackdown 3. Its only happened on these games as there the only ones i have played other the last week.
Im not sure what to do, is it just a one off and will the problem go away, or should i ring Sony, bare in mind the 24th November has gone and so has my warranty, will they do anything or will they charge me as i can not afford to pay for a replacement.
Anyone else had a similar problem, and what should i do?
"That will be 200 quid" you can say
"I have already bought a PS2, and I damn well know that they aren't meant to have errors on them after 2 years, I am a valued customer and I want respect."
Hopefully the bloke should be in shock and give it to you free of charge.
But you should only pay a delivery fee plus 5 quid or something like that, if not give him a fat lip and knick off with a brand new PS2 :).

I doubt it, i have 3 games that do not work, 2 from SR and the other from somewhere else. Its the PS2.

I think they fix the broken PS2, then trade it to someone else who has a broken PS2 that is older than 30 days then fix that, and so on. If it is younger than 30 days, they give you a brand new one. And if it is older than a year, they should charge you what it cost them to repair, but you will get someone else's repaired one. The charge should be no where near £200. Hopefully about £50 or less!
(wait until yer got enough cash!!)
