Seeing as they keep getting buried in the WLT, i'll place them here. If anyone else wants to use this theyre welcome to and i'll questions to the main post.

1. Why would a HDD display half the memory it supposedly has?

2. Can anyone find a command list for Caldera-DOS?

3. Is it possible to replace Caldera-DOS with MS-DOS?

I'm sure there are more i've forgotten. I'll check back.

New problem that didnt use to be a problem.
The front panel display cables, i thought i had what goes where sorted but apparently not.

I have 5 cables

2 x Blue and White cables (2 pin holes each)
1 x Red and Black cable (4 pin holes)
1 x Red and white cable (2 pin holes)
1 x Green cable (3 pin holes)

The pins are ( / indicates a space)

(Top Row)
../../../.....
(Bottom Row)
.../../..../..

From top left
(SMI)(Pow-On)(HDD-LED)(Keylock)
From bottom-left
(Nothing here)(SP-LED)(Speaker)(RESET)

Motherboard is Asus AB-BX6 if that helps.

I'm sure i used to know how to sort all this b**locks. Which colour is what cable?

I'd be very surprised if they're not available on the internet somewhere. Assuming the card is recent enough to even have XP drivers that is. :)

I sorted it all out and installed it. Only problem i have now is with the display as we've no drivers for her video card. She needs a new one anyway.

I don't think the staffies read anything on the forum now. Oh just the bingo thread because they're keen to win it themselves. =)

I can't say I'm suprised Garin is involved in this. *shakes head*

Nope, nothing wrong with the disk-drive. It's something to do with the disk and whats on it. Or possibly the DOS

The full XP thing isn't an issue because other people have been using it fine. I wouldnt be suprised if i've knackered the disk actually with all the deleting and rewriting or her disk-drive is just crap. I'll test it all out.

Well I don't know about you guys, but I've been using 'Windows' or 'XP' as a codename for 'Free Open Source Operating System Of Your Choice'.

Hm, well, I'm not sure what's happening there. It might be that the disc isn't bootable and you do need to use that make bootable disc thing, or it might be caused by the fact it's not a full XP thing.
