That's right. Today is the last time I will be gracing you all with my presence through the international superhighway on this message board as a 56k user.
However, sometime next week (providing there ain't any problems) I shall be returning as a BT Broadband user.

So, in theory, on activation day, it should be very easy...I'm happy with that :D
shouldn't be any problems. I joined BT broadband last week and it couldn't have been easier. The parcel arrived i plugged everything in, put the cd in and it pretty much installed itself. Took about half an hour. Easier than installing normal internet on 56k
I hopefully will - I might try online gaming a bit more too. I got fed up of the lag on Return to Castle Wolfenstein with my 56k modem, but it might be worth trying on 512k :D
As for people being shallow leaving as GAD1 is gone. I too feel it justifies many people leaving, but I wont (except for the next few days :D) because when I joined, although it was initially to win games, it seemed like ages and ages of being beaten by 3 line reviews and people submitting 6 cheats before I won anything - which made me just give up trying to win, and just try to join in as a message board member - then I won my first game :D
So, I'm not too bothered if GAD1 has been temporarily removed, but I can understand without holding any grudges against anyone, why they may want to leave.

I mean for everyone who keeps going on about the fact that people who leave because of GAD1 going are shallow or whatever. Seems like a good reason to leave to me.
