The PS2 only has 3 games out now that I would like, Pro Evo Soccer, Silent Hill 2 and GTA 3. By the time that the N64 had been out a year I had half a dozen games that I thought were truelly outstanding, and considered to be AAA. Super Mario 64, ISS64, Goldeneye, Mario Kart Lylat Wars and Turok.

That's obviously opinion based.
The only N64 games I would buy are Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Roque Squadron.
And there are already at least 10 brilliant titles for the PS2 out, with many more to come in the lead up to Xmas.

In its first year did the N64 have approximately 176 games out for it worldwide with another approximately 97 in development?
You'd have to be either a VERY discerning gamer to want only 3 games out of the 176-odd on offer, or else you just haven't done your research on them... :P
