Hello Everyone!!

Who's been disappointed with a game then?

Have you been told by everyone that the game is the best thing since...Mario 3 on the NES?

Well, I've recently been rather displeased with Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS2, have Konami hyptnotised everyone? - is there anyone else out there who agrees with me that this football game is just not good?

Maybe there isn't, but I am sure that there has been a game that you have bought because of personal recommendations, or because of a review, and when you've actually played it, you wonder what all the fuss was about, slap yourself with a tuna for wasting your money on it, then attempt to tell everyone how your opinion is different from the crowd, try to find a better game, then help promote that.

Anyway, I shan't dwell on my thoughts of PES

("This game struggles to achieve mediocrity, it plays like a castrated donkey – there is no spark, the graphics although fairly colourful aren’t vibrant – they’re plain, dull & the players look alienated from the turf...")

If you want to read the reviews on it, you know where to go, but I remember playing MSR, thinking along with a great deal of people that it was fantastic, then being almost insulted when the odd few gamers said it was rubbish - why on earth did I feel hurt by this?

Maybe sometimes we just don't see the inner beauty of a game, perhaps 30fps suddenly jumps to 60fps, the gameplay advancing and the sound becoming Dolby Digital after say 10 hours of gaming, but I doubt that's the case.

IF you play a game once and hate it, you won't comew back to it again - and nor should you! I suppose not everyone shares the same opinion about a game, and one review is just one person's opinion - so you shouldn't blame a magazine for telling you something's amazing, when you'd rather eat nails than be in the same room as that game...

Disappointment, Hype, Recommendation, Displeasure - all these things can be linked, maybe there should be some tests that everyone thinking of buying a game could take to see if they are right for that game.

Anywho. I really need to get Shenmue 2, I guess that means I need a Dreamcast....

Thanks for reading and DISCUSS!! :-)

Forsaken is BRILLIANT!

I wonder if it is on PSX or PS2...

If so, I might just get it, even though I have it on N64. It's great.

What's wrong with it?

FORSAKEN on the N64!!!

I waited so long for this. Months and months and anticipaion. Reviews of 90%+ and when I finally get my hands on it, it turns out to be the biggest pile of cack I'd ever played. It was awful. I pre-ordered it and was thoroughly disappointed. I couldn't even sell it to any of my friends. The only good thing was the music.

Then, a few weeks back I saw it in Woolworths for 59.99. I was half wanting to camp out by the stand to warn potential buyers to steer well clear. How can they still charge 60 quid for an N64 game. Especially an awful N64 game. I mean, I remember spending 70 quid on Turok. Mind you, that was an amazing game!

I'm glad my brother has changed his mind, and is now getting TIF 2002.

Does TIF 2002 have proper names??

Pro Evolution Soccer is only for fans of the Pro evo series.

It is easily the most realistic football game ever made, just like the real thing in many aspects. If you watch a lot of football then you will notice that sometimes matches can be very boring, the same goes for this game.

Only for hardcore fans, dont like it? then sod off and play FIFA...

It appeals to different people, I suppose. When I first booted it up, I thought it was slow, hard to control and not as good as Pro Evo 2. But, after about 2 days I loved it like a lovechild. I can't stand the FIFA series, but loads of people buy it every year, without fail.
