Hello Everyone!!

Who's been disappointed with a game then?

Have you been told by everyone that the game is the best thing since...Mario 3 on the NES?

Well, I've recently been rather displeased with Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS2, have Konami hyptnotised everyone? - is there anyone else out there who agrees with me that this football game is just not good?

Maybe there isn't, but I am sure that there has been a game that you have bought because of personal recommendations, or because of a review, and when you've actually played it, you wonder what all the fuss was about, slap yourself with a tuna for wasting your money on it, then attempt to tell everyone how your opinion is different from the crowd, try to find a better game, then help promote that.

Anyway, I shan't dwell on my thoughts of PES

("This game struggles to achieve mediocrity, it plays like a castrated donkey – there is no spark, the graphics although fairly colourful aren’t vibrant – they’re plain, dull & the players look alienated from the turf...")

If you want to read the reviews on it, you know where to go, but I remember playing MSR, thinking along with a great deal of people that it was fantastic, then being almost insulted when the odd few gamers said it was rubbish - why on earth did I feel hurt by this?

Maybe sometimes we just don't see the inner beauty of a game, perhaps 30fps suddenly jumps to 60fps, the gameplay advancing and the sound becoming Dolby Digital after say 10 hours of gaming, but I doubt that's the case.

IF you play a game once and hate it, you won't comew back to it again - and nor should you! I suppose not everyone shares the same opinion about a game, and one review is just one person's opinion - so you shouldn't blame a magazine for telling you something's amazing, when you'd rather eat nails than be in the same room as that game...

Disappointment, Hype, Recommendation, Displeasure - all these things can be linked, maybe there should be some tests that everyone thinking of buying a game could take to see if they are right for that game.

"Your favorite genre is Golf Ball collecting, the following games will suite you: "

Anywho. I really need to get Shenmue 2, I guess that means I need a Dreamcast....

Thanks for reading and DISCUSS!! :-)

I'm still here Danny boy, you and your shoddy opinions about PES will be battled to the death, if you look at the reviews for PES you should see I did another one after yours which gave it the rating that it deserves. So HA.

You are an odd chap. I have played the game, read the reviews before playing the game - they made me buy the game, I played the game and didn't like it. Are you being ironic or just moronic?

I also think that konami don't

Well... If SR had actually bothered to send my copy of PES for the release date, I might be able to give an opinion on the gameplay - as for the graphics, they're fine, the player models are great and if anyone has actually watched a football game on TV, they'll know that getting the ball from one end to the other takes a long pass (Possible in PES) or a series of short ball over a longer period of time (Also available in PES)...

I have to disagree with anyone who shuns the game without giving it a decent go...

Read the manual before playing, and give it a couple of days...

Trust me...

It'll be fine...

10 minutes... lol!

You are an idiot posting a review that doesn't justify the game one bit, all you are is a FIFA fan that thinks every game that FIFA make is totally original, ISS & PES are amazing titles that are always greatly improoved each time. Have you seen any reviews at all, STUPID, it is the best game ever made and you are either not going to reply or say that FIFA is great and the player on the box makes me feel immediately attracted to the game. I also think that konami don't give a damn because you have bought it, oh by the way I did another reviewthat gave it the mark that it deserves, if you are not good at games to the point that you should bad mouth it , then you should take your beloved FIFA 2002 and naff off.
