A man called Hugh. Probably. In other news, so did me and my brother (who, for those of you that don't know me so well, is J-42 on the forums).

Yes. You read correctly, I now own an Xbox so I can well and truly say, without a shadow of a doubt, it's the worst console :D. Seriously though, while my GameCube will most probably always reign supreme - I'm very happy with the deal I got:

Xbox (inc. controller, etc) + Unofficial 'Trick' Controller + DVD Remote + Halo + Conflict Desert Storm = £95.00.

All in good nick, the console itself is six months old. After that, I got a lift into Exeter (the local city) and took advantage of the following deals at various, un-named stores ;)

Trading in my copies of Mario Kart: Super Circuit (GBA), Metroid Fusion (GBA), Mission Impossible (GBC) and Tetris (GB), I got a straight swap for..
Pre-owned 'The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind'.

Trading in my copies of Black & White (PC), The Sims: House Party (PC), Die Hard: Vendetta (GameCube) and MX2002 (PS2), I got a straight swap for...
Pre-owned 'Shenmue II'.

So good stuff really, I feel I've done very well :D. As for the games, Morrowind is excellent, Halo and Desert Storm are very good and I am yet to play Shenmue II.

A few questions though:

1. I'm not a big fan of the Xbox controller, what's this 'S' version like?
2. Any games you'd recommend for an RPG and shoot 'em up fan?

You lot have got your way then. I now own all three consoles, and a severly weakened bank account. I hope you're happy..

Ah, that's got to be a drag. I would have liked to have read it.

I've got a few friends now and we've been playing the Moto GP demo for ages. After playing the racing aspect to death, we started pulling insane wheelies, and then falling off right in front of the pack. We had a little competition to see who could rack up the biggest combo of crashes.

It made me want Burnout 2 even more.. Anyhoo, off to play a Dead Or Alive 3 demo now.

Hello Maverick42, so you brought an Xbox as well!! I'm still a Nintendo fan and love my Gamecube to bits but the Xbox is SUPERB (i never actually said i hated it anyway) and so what if it's big what other console lets you download your Album and listen to it while playing your games, brilliant, my games are:

Halo
Indiana Jones
Buffy Vampire Slayer
Splinter Cell
Amped
Kung Fu Chaos

The new S controller is excellent, it's much smaller and comfortable. Hello to all the Xbox fans!!! I'm new!! :D

lol How'd Moto GP make you want Burnout 2?

Maverick, a lot of Xbox games are on the new "classics" range and I seriously reccomend getting a few (they're only £19.99) especially

Project Gotham Racing - An awesome racing game, nothing like GT3, but amazing still. Especially the graphics and handling, Oh and the kudos system is brilliant!

Oddworld Munchs Oddysee - Everplayed the PSone games? Think of them in 3-D and add some originalness. Immature humour and fun puzzles, an excellent platformer with a new character.

And loads more, have a look in SR's Xbox Classic range, the range has quite a few excellent titles that are worth parting with 2 £10 notes. I think Morrowind is in there aswell.

Oh and get Phantom Crash.

Well suck me sideways.

Maverick bought an Xbox.

Controller S is better than the standard Xbox pad for fighters esspecially(standard pad sucks for DOA3.). I don't own one, but when i'm round at a friends I always bully him into letting me use it.

Racking up crash combos. I'm considering Project Gotham Racing or Moto GP now they're in the classics range, but I might just go for their sequels.

Get PGR though don't expect the crashes to be any fun, not a single bit of damage appears on the cars.

No matter though as the game rocks.

Well, last time I played PGR, the cars got damaged. Look at the front of the car when you crash into something, the lights will be smashed and the bonnet will of been crushed a little....

the damage on the cars is pretty minimal on PGR...i once tried a full on head collision when i was going the wrong way just to check out the damage...and came out of it with a very small dent...
