Morrowind is a fantastic RPG if you have the time for it.

So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.

Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.

Pretty straight forward really.

Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.

Ok, thanks. I was hoping it'd go for more than £8.00 but I suppose that isn't bad.

Will send the game off as soon as your cheque clears.

don't know how far I'll get in the game as KOTOR will be delivered beginning of september. I anticipate that taking up a lot of my time

by the way, sent a cheque off to you tonight, for max payne.

yeah but my primary problem seems to be that I couldn't kill a fly with a machine gun if it was sellotaped to a bullseye.

being killed by rats is really frustrating.

at the moment I've just been stealing stuff and selling it to buy better armour and weapons, in the hope it'll toughen me up

Boring as they may seem, they'll edge you into the harder quests so fighting rats isn't so hard.

Also, just outside of Seyda Neen, on the road to Balmora (I suggest you take that route, rather than the Silt Strider), there's a Smuggler's Cave. You can train up your skills by killing everyone in there - and if your health gets too low, go back outside and rest up. It may be time consuming, but you'll become more powerful and there's stuff in there you can sell.

You may want to try pearl diving too. Money is the key in Morrowind, you see.

yeah, but the mages seem a bit sad, what with all the mushroom picking and such

In Seyda Neen, there's a couple of quests that are quite fun. Seek out a man in Arille's tradehouse, and help him with Fargoth. Then ask the townsfolk about some rumours, and get onto the great whodunnit-esque quest of the missing taxman.

I also suggest starting with the Mages guild missions.

errr I have a few hours to kill and was considering giving morrowind a proper try.

I don't want to be wandering round doing nothing in particular, so suggest some stuff I can do.

So far I've joined all three guilds, updated my armor and weaponry a bit, and got repeatedly killed by rats I was supposed to be exterminating.

what *fun* things are there to do so early in the game?

ok go ! :D

I got myself a stronghold. Well, it's being built - one of those curly-wurly Telvanni towers. I've also got a Shock Centurion following me around like a lap dog - a gift from a shifty wizard.

Hopefully, the Morrowing Tribunal/Bloodmoon expansion will be out of Xbox soon...

I think Bloodmoon is heavily weighted against Melee characters, due to the fact they can wipe the floor with anything in Morrowind & Tribunal.

I'm playing an assassin character at the moment, and it's not too bad. So long as nobody sees me and I keep my distance, they can be picked of with just a few shots from my Daedric Bow. I'll get mashed in one or two hits if those smugglers catch up with me, but as I'm wearing the boots of blinding speed, they won't.
