Are you the person who Isn't 'New' on the scene to videogames? ( 10 years is new) .
Good, then you are In the right place.
Being that I am thankful for the 'Nintendo difference' that we depend on for the Console greats. But can you readily say that?
There are those out there who consider themselves to know 'Nintendo' and then blast them for all they have, just because they disagree with a particular stance that the Big N have.
The reason we were all drawn to Nintendo in the first place was their ability to innovate and constantly change the way we feel about videogames.
Now, when Miyamoto decides to change the visual style of Zelda, everyone has a fit.
Is this not the same man you have blindly followed and believed in since the first Mario Bros. appeared?
Is this not the person who has never (and I mean NEVER) let you down before?
Were many of you not saying how gameplay is king only days before Space World?.
You all know deep in your hearts that the new Zelda will be a dream to play, so for those that where upset with the new Zelda- why the sudden backlash?
I can understand being a little nervous about the change in direction, but to have supposed life-long Nintendo fans charging off to their nearest store and blowing their Gamecube savings on a PS2 simply because of Zelda is not only irrational and naive, but it's just plain stupid.
Hell, if Miyamoto can make a game like Pikmin feel epic, then he can sure as hell make a cartoon-style Zelda be the most dramatic thing this side of FFVII.
If we've learned but one thing from the past, it's that Miyamoto has a magical gift to take the simplest of ideas and turn it into an incredible game experience.
You believed that once, so why not now?
If you agree, then I believe it's because you know that Nintendo, moreso than anybody, is a company that understands what videogames are all about. At least wait until you have more information about any of these games (preferably until you play them) before you write them off. Nintendo will not let you down.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's perfectly acceptable to be a little worried about a beloved franchise such as Zelda, but for those to react in the manner that so many on the net have done over the past two months is just foolish.
And it's that sort of behaviour that makes everyone label Nintendo consoles as 'kiddie' machines, when they are clearly not, with Miyamoto supporting the handshake for Resident Evil, they have always seen fit to gear them towards 'everyone' in the household, rather than a PS Type 'late teen's only'- plus- Sony's stance has been a little unsuccessful too considering the majority of its gamers are in the 10-15 year old bracket, yes 'only youngsters'!.
In the end you're defined by your actions, not by your console, and if that's the way you react towards the new Zelda, then you most certainly deserve to be labelled a child.
So you are either with Nintendo or not, criticising a game you've seen a clip of won't help. All good things come to those who wait. And from that you will get the final results and answers to many questions. Now the only problem 'Is the wait' for us Europeans, time to press Nintendo Europe again me thinks.

Being serious for a moment, I was willing to give Nintendo a chance and I bought a GBA. Unfortunately, it has disappointed so far, but I haven't given up on it yet.

Bet he does, dare say if he would admit it though. Concidering his childish biased approach to everything.

Ok, so maybe we're taking the Zelda thing too far. The fact of the matter is that the game is going to be great... but will it be as good as it would have been as a realistic looking epic game spread across vast kingdoms that had such a multitude of mini-adventures that the game would last a lot longer than it will in its present condition.
Personally I would have loved to see how Miyamoto would have taken forwards last year's E3 "realistic" Zelda sequences and turned them into a finished game. Who wouldn't?
Saying that, I don't mind Miyamoto making a radical looking game... but Zelda? This is going too far! Zelda is meant to be innovative in control, gameplay and is meant to have the best looking graphics around... but to use cell shading is just going too far for me! What possessed the man to do this!?

Yes we should. We should assume it's crap. :D
Now the difference between the 'true' fans and others is that the true fans were the ones who never said that it was rubbish, etc. but maybe had their doubts. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but 'true' fans really thought, well maybe I don't like the graphics as much as the old look, but it doesn't make it a bad game. I have seen many messages and stuff saying the new Zelda is going to be awful and 'I'm not going to buy it'. These people obviously need to get their gaming priorities straight.
But that doen't stop true fans discussing the new look, and making criticisms, as well as compliments, of the new style, and giving its advantages/ disadvantages. I stood up for the new look from the beginning, but when I first heard I WAS very shocked, and almost didn't believe that this was the new look, not because I thought the old footage was in game, but I just thought it'd carry on the N64 style. But we shouldn't ASSUME anything about a Nintendo game. And that's one of Nintendos greatest strengths.
