Apparenlty my subscription copy arrived today after I left home! Anyone else got theirs? If so, what's in it/on the disc?

If there's no significant reply beforehand, I'll post details tonight...

The official mag slates bad games just as much as the next mag. If they gave everything a 10/10, noone would buy it.

Annoyingly, their new gold, silver, bronze system is a bit pants, because if you were only to buy gold games, you wouldnt have any!

That doesn`t surprise me really. The official mag is unlikely to criticise the lack of originality of a game held closely to Sony themselves. It does look great, and will probably play just as well, but it won`t be perfect.

Did you see what OPs2 said about it?
they couldnt find any thing wrong with it.
they said " so in previews we are meant to tell you bad things aswell, BUT WE CANT"

then they said
Jak could be taller
and the trees could be a darker colour of green

LOL

Personally, I don`t care if its original, for the same reason as you - its a PS2 first, and it looks and sounds great. If the gameplay is Crashesque then that isn`t a bad thing either, as I enjoyed the Crash games anyway. The only thing that made me say what I said below was the feature on Jak and Daxter in the last issue. They really did seem to dislike the fact that it wasn`t a major platforming leap forward.

I dunno... okay, it's not original in general terms, but it certainly is as far as PS2 games are concerned.

I get the feeling PSM2 will only give it high 80s due to lack of originality. It might just make it into the 90s, perhaps 92, but no more than that.
