It's the best Multiplayer RTS game there ever was. Simple as that. Released way back in 1997.
I can't compare it to Age of Empires, Starcraft of anything, because it's fundamentally different.

If I had all the technology and on Rank 2 (meaning my units are twice as strong as Venombyte's rank 1's), I'd still probably lose.

(although I have gotten a lot of my technology through fluke, and early sacrificing, which is supposedly really dishonourable. People should be more weary about keeping their priest safe instead!)
