It's the best Multiplayer RTS game there ever was. Simple as that. Released way back in 1997.
I can't compare it to Age of Empires, Starcraft of anything, because it's fundamentally different.

Alright, fast starts. Listen up.
Technique 1:
The two shop start. This is good most of the time, unless you really need to rush for an outpost.
1)Build your temple as near as you can to a geyser. Try not to build it too far away from your priest.
2)While temple is building, look for an outpostable island. Preferable one that also has a geyser on it, so you can drain it very quickly.
3)When temple is built, build 2 golems, connect to the nearest geyser, and set your two golems collecting
4)Move your priest to somewhere on your island where there is room for 2 shops
5) Bridge to the island you want to post. If you can, connect to other islands and geysers on the way.
6) As soon as your cash hits 1900, stop bridging. Spend a second or two connecting to something if you have to, but no longer.
7) Build your shops (sun & rain or wind & rain you'll need)
8) Send the priest up for the post.
9) Put generator knowledge in production, and get a power supply all the way to the post island.
10) Tell your priest to build the outpost
11) Do more bridging, it will distract your opponent. If he also is going for the island, get some attacking units in production.
12) As soon as your priest starts the post, run him off to get another one, or just out of the way.
13) Build 2 golems on the post island, and collect the quick cash that was there.
14) Put the rest of your tech into production, if you haven't already.
Technique 2:
The one shop start. Slightly faster, but leaves your defences open. Good if you can pull it off safely.
As technique 1, EXCEPT
1) Build your one workshop at 1100 cash.
2) When your first post is being built, send your priest all the way back to your island for the second shop.

Oh and remember before when you told me there was two ways to get a fast start?
Well whats the other way, is it quicker, some of the more experienced people are beating me easily now.

Venom's favourite weapon! :-D
The squids die, but then another regenerates and comes menacingly towards you. The only way to destroy them once and for all is by blowing up the pool which they spawn from, which is normally behind 4 sets of sun barriers.
Unless I try to use them, in which case they end up vunerable and blown up before they can do any damage!

Tried a couple of games online first one was getting beaten badly then this other bloke stole his priest and then he allied with me but was still allied to the other one so the game ended and the same thing happened in the other game really just slightly different.
Just one thing though how do you request to be someones ally?
