No reply in the Customer Support forum, so I'll try here...

-----

I bought a MAXX P4 1.7GHz from you in June this year, and have just upgraded to Windows XP Home edition.

Everything works fine, except for my modem, which is the one supplied with the machine.

I've been looking for some XP drivers, but I'm unsure of the modem's brand.

Under Windows ME it installed as a Rockwell HSF SoftK56flex (or something similar to that) and worked fine. Under XP however, it is detected as a 'Best Data Data Fax Modem', and although XP says that it is working correctly, I cannot dial out; the modem does seem to answer okay, though.

Could you please...

(a) point me in the direction of suitable XP drivers on the web, or

(b) Give me some idea as to which modems you sell which do operate under Windows XP.

Many thanks.

Gah...richard's taken over luke's IRCd, broken his bounce server. No idea, unless you can find a working whiplash cgi client somewhere..

Cheers Phil, but do you feel like suggesting anything that isn't filtered by RM SafetyNet?

Shouldn't be a problem unless your school has java disabled..luke may still have his bounce server running, I'll have a look if that doesn't work.

We don't have a client at school. Recommend an online applet?
