Looks like each character gets their own kind of kart, Whacky Races style. Detail is superb.

I think I read on a site that you can race by yourself in a normal Mario Kart style.

I think Mario Kart 64 suffers the same problems as Mario Sunshine in that it follows in the foot steps of one of the all time greats. Trying to follow on from the original Mario Kart is a thankless task - but 64 still was a great game in its own right. I spent longer just trying to get the perfect time on Mario Raceway than I did on most other games.

He's complaining that Mario Kart GC looks the same as Mario Kart 64, when anyone with a grain of intelligence will notice that it's completely different.


And seeing as GT is supposidly the best racing game ever, I just thought I'd point out that each version is the same, only with different tracks and cars. It doesn't change.

I seem to remember Mario Sunshine looking that, and Mario Kart looks like it's using the same sort of graphics. Sunshine was cleaned up by the time it was released, and I have no doubts that this will too.

Agggggghhh! The jaggies hurt my eyes. Come on, it could look A LOT better. I thought it looked okay until I saw the bigger shots, then everything begins to fall apart. Impressive draw distance is about the only good thing to say.

It looks beautiful.

Can't wait.

Has 2 player co-operative been mentioned, one controlling each character?
