For the new Turok you could probably use the C Stick, it would just be analouge not buttons.
Tar very much mate!

Tar? Cooky have you been smoking? (Sibs scribbles notes for future referance in his stories...)

But if you are a true gamer you will be able to adapt to what you are given/need to complete the game. Admittedly it took me a while to get used to the Turok controls, once I had them I had no problem. Then changing back to goldeneye controls was ok.
In fact me and my mate saw this as a challenge, and raced each other to complete the game (goldeneye) with a different control setting. This in fact was quite good, not just because I won but in the end made me a better player. Because I could aim/move with more accuracy. Then once we done that we worked through the game together in one player mode using one of the dual controls. One of us aiming the other one doing the moving, now that took good communication and control. We never did complete it on agent though!
So take my advice and dont see different control systems as an inconvenience, see them as a challenge and part of the game. In doing this you will become a better gamer.
But I would have to agree that Rare always seem to get the controls spot on! Now I wouldnt mind being a games tester for them :)

By the way...I voted for cooky in the end. :D

Don't you think?
That's because Rare's just such a GREAT developer!

If your playing a first person shooter where stealth is a good idea, then the Goldeneye controls are the best set up. Because it allows you to aim far more accurately.
But if your playing an all out blaster like Turok then the Turok controls are better. Moving forward and strafing with the C buttons really suited the Turok style game. It's a shame that this setup won't be a possibility with the Gamecube pad. But i'm sure they'll figure so new a marvalous way of using the pads buttons to supply GREAT control!

and for the pad :)
Thanks Nintendo :D You treat us well
